The Consortium for the Protection of Primitivo di Manduria is the body that monitors the quality and authenticity of the famous Primitivo wine. With passion and commitment, it promotes this precious nectar around the world, guaranteeing its authenticity and tradition. We collaborate with them to enhance the wine culture of our land.
Schiena Vini represents artisanal excellence in the world of Apulian wine. Their vineyards, located between the hills and the sea, benefit from an ideal microclimate for viticulture. They mainly grow Primitivo, Negroamaro and Fiano, with a production attentive to tradition and quality. The winery uses a combination of traditional methods and modern technologies for winemaking and refining the wines. Among their best-known wines are the “Primitivo di Manduria” and the “Negroamaro”, which reflect the richness of the territory.
Apoteca Winery is located in Oria and active since 2015. The vineyards are located in the hills of the Itria Valley, an area known for its cool climate and limestone soils. They grow local varieties such as Primitivo and Negroamaro. The cellar is equipped with modern technologies that guarantee precise control of the winemaking process, while maintaining a strong link with traditional practices. They produce fresh, aromatic white wines, as well as structured, complex reds.
Since 1952, in San Pietro Vernotico, the Sampietrana winery has been synonymous with quality and tradition. Located in the heart of Salento, it produces wines that reflect the authentic character of the Apulian land. The vineyards extend between the municipalities of Brindisi and Lecce, cultivating native varieties such as Primitivo, Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera. Their winemaking technology is cutting edge, combining traditional techniques with modern innovations to enhance the quality of the wines. Among the most representative labels are the "Salice Salentino Riserva" and the "Primitivo di Manduria". They also offer tastings upon reservation, allowing visitors to discover and appreciate their wines directly in the cellar.
The Produttori di Manduria winery is a symbol of tradition and innovation in the Apulian wine scene. With a history full of successes and a strong bond with the territory, it represents the quintessential Primitivo di Manduria. Tenute Bella Marina, founded in 2017 and located in Torre Santa Susanna, is a young and dynamic winemaking company. The vineyards extend across soils rich in minerals which benefit from the influence of the nearby Ionian Sea. They grow typical Apulian varieties such as Primitivo, Negroamaro and Lambrusco. The cellar uses modern technologies for winemaking and refinement, with particular attention to sustainability and the environment. They produce a range of wines that includes “Primitivo di Manduria” and “Negroamaro Rosato”, authentic expressions of the territory. They organize guided tours and tastings, offering an immersive experience for wine enthusiasts.
Torrevento is a historic Apulian winery located in the heart of Murgia. Founded in the 1940s, it is renowned for the production of quality wines that express the character of the territory, with particular attention to native vines such as Nero di Troia and Primitivo. The company combines tradition and innovation, promoting sustainable practices and enhancing the cultural and food and wine heritage of the region. Torrevento also offers wine tourism experiences, allowing visitors to discover the charm of its vineyards and cellars.
Novecentoventi is an Apulian winery that combines tradition and innovation to produce high quality wines. Located in the upper Salento, the winery is dedicated to the valorisation of native vines such as Primitivo di Manduria.
Winter pruning is the first step of the new wine year. In the Novecentoventi vineyards, this practice is performed with the ronca, a traditional tool, with precision and expertise acquired over time. Tenute Bruno is a family business dedicated to the production of wines that reflect the richness of the Apulian territory. With particular attention to sustainability and respect for the environment, the winery grows grape varieties such as Negroamaro and Primitivo, creating wines that celebrate local traditions. Tenute Bruno is committed to preserving ancient winemaking techniques, with a focus on quality and expression of terroiro.
This Apulian winery stands out for its traditional approach to the production of high quality wines. Located in Maruggio, in an area rich in history and wine culture, Commenda Magistrale uses native vines such as Negroamaro and Primitivo, focusing on a combination of tradition and innovation to express the authenticity of the territory. Founded in 1665, Leone de Castris is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Puglia, with a long winemaking tradition. Located in Salice Salentino, it is famous for the "Five Roses", the first rosé bottled in Italy. The winery produces a wide range of wines that express the character of the Salento area, using native vines such as Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia Nera.
Apulian winemaker, Simone Santoro specializes in the production of native wines such as Susumaniello, Verdeca, Primitivo and Negroamaro. Tenuta Planisium si trova a Volturno (FG). La cantina si impegna nella valorizzazione delle tradizioni vitivinicole locali, concentrandosi su vitigni autoctoni. La produzione si basa su un approccio sostenibile e rispettoso dell’ambiente, combinando metodi tradizionali con tecniche moderne per garantire vini che riflettano autenticamente il territorio. I vini offerti da Tenuta Planisium includono rossi strutturati, bianchi freschi e spumanti eleganti.
Antonio Buccoliero produce il vino Primitivo Èja, ottenuto da uve 100% Primitivo coltivate ad alberello con oltre 50 anni di vita. Questo metodo tradizionale pugliese, non meccanizzabile, resiste in climi aridi e produce uve di alta qualità. Buccoliero desidera trasformare la sua vigna in un museo vivente per tramandare la cultura del territorio. L’etichetta del vino è unica: le coordinate geografiche del podere tradotte in codice morse dall’artista Jasmine Pignatelli, rendendo il luogo e la comunità attorno unici.
La Masseria Incantalupi, fondata nel 1948 dai fratelli Antonio e Lorenzo Cinquepalmi, è diventata un simbolo di tradizione e innovazione nel mondo del vino. I primi vigneti di Negroamaro, Primitivo e Malvasia Nera hanno prosperato grazie al clima favorevole e alle tecniche agronomiche avanzate. Dal 1989, l’azienda ha adottato l’agricoltura biologica su tutti i suoi 150 ettari. Oggi produce vini prestigiosi con metodi che rispettano la qualità delle uve, esaltandone i profumi e i sapori unici del territorio.
Dal Tacco dello Stivale è una cantina pugliese che valorizza il territorio con vini opulenti e premiati, prodotti da uve autoctone come Primitivo, Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera e Fiano, coltivate su suoli ricchi di ossidi di ferro. Le vigne, gestite manualmente e biologicamente, beneficiano di un clima mediterraneo che esalta la qualità delle uve. La cantina utilizza tecnologie avanzate, monitoraggio continuo e l’esperienza di enologi esperti, ottenendo riconoscimenti internazionali, come i 99 punti per Ilmò Primitivo di Manduria DOP.
Cantine Pliniana, fondata nel 1964 da una cooperativa di agricoltori e vignaioli, è cresciuta fino a includere oltre 360 soci su 900 ettari nella zona della DOP Primitivo di Manduria. Pliniana è nota per la produzione di vini di alta qualità, in particolare il Primitivo di Manduria DOP, che riflette le condizioni climatiche e territoriali uniche della regione. L’azienda valorizza la cooperazione sociale, l’innovazione e la promozione della cultura salentina, incarnando lo stile italiano della convivialità attraverso i suoi vini.
Vinicola Cicella è una cantina situata a Torricella, Taranto, nel cuore del territorio del Primitivo di Manduria DOC. Fondata dai fratelli Michele e Cosimo Schifone, la cantina produce vini di alta qualità, inclusi Primitivo di Manduria, rossi, bianchi e rosati, valorizzando il territorio unico della Puglia. Ogni fase della produzione è seguita con cura, dalle vigne alla vinificazione. La cantina offre degustazioni, vendita diretta, e un’esperienza immersiva tra tradizione e innovazione vinicola.
